FAQs

Why physiotherapy as a home visit?

There are many reasons why a home visit may suit you. There may be times that you cannot physically make it to a practice due to recent surgery or the level of pain you have. Or time efficiency is very important to you and you want to save arrival and departure time as well as waiting time in the practice. If you don't feel like going to the doctor to get a prescription, I can treat you without a prescription. I'm also very quick to get you your first appointment, where you can often get treatment the next day if you're lucky on the same day.

How much does it cost per visit?

€100. For more info see rates section.

How long is each session?

Each session lasts an hour.

What is the course of the first appointment?

You call me (or I'll call you back), we'll talk very briefly about your problem and make an appointment. I arrive on time for the appointment with a treatment table and the necessary fitness equipment. At the end of the first appointment we can make further appointments if necessary.

Do I have to have "home visits" on my prescription?

No. If "home visit" or "Hausbesuch" isn't on the prescription, it's not a problem.

Can I get treatment without a doctor's prescription?

Yes, not a problem. Most physiotherapists in Germany are not permitted to treat patients without a prescription from a doctor but I am not one of them!

Do you also treat patients with public health insurance ("Kassenpatienten")?

Unfortunately, I do not accept public health insurance prescriptions, but of course I will treat anybody who pays the normal rates. However, your public health insurer (Krankenkasse) will not subsidise any of the cost. If you need urgent treatment and don't want to wait weeks for your first physio appointment, you can see me in the meantime to fill the gap.

How should I pay?

You can pay in either cash or with a debit card on the day of treatment.

What areas of Berlin do you service?

If you live in one of the following areas then it shouldn't be a problem for me to get to you....

Falkensee, Dallgow-Döberitz, Spandau and anywhere within Zone 1 in Berlin, i.e. anywhere within the Ringbahn. Charlottenburg, Schöneberg, Spandau, Westend,Wilmersdorf, Mitte, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauerberg, Friedrichshain and Friedenau should not be a problem at all. If you are somewhere else in Berlin and you're unsure then just ask!
